SailGP – Formula 1 sailing series is coming to Cowes

Sydney, San Francisco, New York, Cowes!!!…and Marseille.

SailGP will make its European debut this summer, touching down in Cowes following the American leg of the global championship’s inaugural season and Marine Events are proud to announce that we have been appointed SailGP official charter boat Partner for the Cowes event!

Great Britain SailGP Team flying high in Sydney.

The racing takes place in some of the world’s most iconic sailing locations, where athletes from rival nations will race head-to-head on the newly redefined IDENTICAL F50 wing-sailed catamarans, which fly above the water on wave-piercing hydrofoils at speeds of over 50 knots (60 mph).

On the 10th and 11th August 2019, Cowes, on the Isle of Wight will host this amazing race series, with a long history of sailing and unrivaled Solent racing conditions, this event will (in our opinion) be the best by far (but then we are biased) and we will be there to support the teams and watch the racing.

Marine Events have teamed up with SailGP as their Official Charter Boat Partner to provide high quality, close quarter viewing of this amazing series on one of the largest most luxurious fleets of yachts and powerboats available for charter in the UK.  We will have VIP access to the best views points on the race course, giving our VIP guests some truly incredible viewing experiences.
