Good wind, blue sky and a rare thing called SUN! were all present for the 3rd annual Travel Mole Regatta.
Teams from within the Travel Industry met at the Royal Southern Yacht Club to compete for the coveted ‘Mckenzie Cup’ as well as flights, accomodation and some superb sailing on the Great Lakes in North America.
The winds were light to start, gradually building throughout the day, Teams from Realex Payments, Travel 2, Vertical Systems and Travelzoo all raced in some close exciting races.
After 5 exciting close races, the two leading teams were equal on points, Realex Payments were the eventual winners on count back and took the trophy from Travel 2.
Congratulations to all teams, as the racing was so close the trophy could have gone to any of them, we hope that they will all come back and challenge again in 2012 when the travel Mole Regatta will return to it’s normal time of the year in September.
